First week back term 2 week 1

Welcome back to term 2. We have have a new teacher called mrs reissmann. Mrs reissmann set us a task that we had to write all the things about plastic that we know here is my work with katelin and Ruby.

Plastic

• It burns easily.
• It is not good for the environment.
• You can make things out of it like polo fleeces. And Other staff

Honor

I think that plastic is a bad thing that has been invented because it kills the environment and it is not good for animals like Fish and land animals.

Ruby

I think that Plastic is bad because you don’t need to use plastic even for shopping bags because you can use recyclable bags.

Katelin

I think that plastic is bad for our environment because it is killing our sea life and Other animals.

Kawa of care week 10 term 1

This week when madilin came to teach us about the kawa of care we had to right rules about having
a chromebook  beacuse we are gong to take our chromebook home in the holidays for the first time and we need to know the rules about chromebooks.

This week for the family feista we had to make a recycled creature and then we had to write about it and write the facts bout it. I have done a swan.

Literacy Reflections week 9 term 1

Here is my writing for this week. It is my camp reflection from camp where we had to do use 5 Ws.

Camp Reflection    W.A.L.T: To use Paragraphs and to use 5 Ws.

Intro - 2 weeks ago we went Mamaku 1 camp to Westport. Our first stop was Charleston gold mining company where there was a tour guide (Dean) who took us through a tour of the gold mining tunnels. Our next stop was Nile river, it was freezing we had to wear swimming caps so the parents could know where you were.

• WHAT-  After we had done our stops, we went to the maxwell gage centre and sorted out our bunk rooms. My bunk room buddies were Jazmine, Katelynn, Kyra, Hannah and Ruby.

START HERE! :  After we had sorted out the rooms we played games outside like crazy tag. Then we had dinner. And after that we had desert.

Meaning: A person that is to sick and unwell to look after his or her own self.

Meaning: sudden or unexpected.

Misunderstanding

Meaning: A failure to understand correctly.

The newspaper man had a misunderstanding he got the name wrong in the newspaper.

Miserable

Meaning: poor and needy.

I am a miserable man.

Energy

Meaning: A feeling or tension in our body that feels uplifting.

I had lots of energy after that chocolate.

Enterprize

Meaning: A plan for such a project.

Numeracy reflections week 7 term 1

This week for numeracy we have been doing maths buddy set tasks. these are the task some of them I completed and some of them I haven't completed yet.

We also did long multiplication problems we had to solve them. Here are mine. My next step learning would be to work out 3 diget x 2 diget. 

Literacy term1 week 7

This week for literacy we had too write 5 W's (what when where who why) about shantytown. I did this activity with my buddy Katelynn. I enjoyed this activity.

This week we have been working on a piece of writing that we had to plan for. This is my planning. I am going to write about crocodiles becuase they are my favourite reptile.

Term 1 week 4 reflections

This week we had a special visitor come into our school and teach us about electronics and how to make a circate with some really easy things all we had to do was hold onto something metal and then hold hands. we measured all different types of things like how hot it was or how cold it was. we attached a LED light to the the main thing and then we did all these different things.

Literacy, Numeracy term1 week 2

This week me and my buddy Arli have been working on a tally of Mamaku's favourite sports. After we had finished we did a graph on how many people voted on which sport. We found out that Rugby had the most tally marks. We also wrote some lists about different stuff. I wrote mine on things I would like to do do before I die.

END OF YEAR REFLECTIONS 

THE HIGHLIGHTS OF THIS YEAR:    One of the Highlights this year was The big day out Because I like doing the  sports. I also enjoyed doing literacy and making posters. 

I AM PROUD OF:   My Literacy because I have improved on it and I Have liked it.


NEXT YEAR I WOULD LIKE TO: Do some more Art and literacy.

Here is my project with cass. We got Kumura and toothpicks and then made them into hedgehogs it was really fun.

Me and will made pancakes for breakfast. They were really delicious. We did it all by ourselves.

Participating and contributing

We are going to do a concert for the Red Cross to raise money  for the damage that the earthquake had done in kaikora.  I am really excited about the concert. It is a whole orchestra playing and I am one of the soloist.

For CC we had to create Rashid for our class story we also had to make a trophy. I used google drawings for this activity. I reallly enjoyed this activity because we got to create our own trophy and character. 

For numeracy we have been working on testlilation here is an activity bassed on tesilation.

We have also been working on rotation here is an activity for rotation. We had to chose a shape and rotate it 90 degrees and then 180 and then 360 and then back to 00 degrees. 

reflections week 4 term 4

For CC we I have been working on drawing the mystery man in a laptop. My drawing is of the mysery man with the controller. I learnt how to draw a X box controller.

This week for our topic we have been working on water safety. One of the activities was to create a DLO on how to be safe around any kind of water. I chose beach safety.

For work on writing we have been working on tic tac toe and one of the activities was to write a letter to your teacher to try persaude the teacher to get a class pet. 

Numeracy reflections week 4 term 4

For maths this week we have been focasing on 2D and 3D shapes. You will see in my screen castify that I have grouped the shape into 2D and 3D. I learnt how to group 2d and 3D shapes.

We were set a task of making little garden tips to make them grow here are a few of our tips. I leant how to plant that rype of vegetables.

For the past 2 weeks we have been working on work on writing tasks this task was called if i could be a mythical creature I relly enjoyed tbis activity because I would really like to be a dragon. 

This is a chacacter study on greek myths and legends I really enjoed this activity but next time I think I could try put a bit more information into it.

For chapter chat this week we had to we had to create 5 facts about Magaret Thatcher and draw the family cat (Magaret Scratcher) from the person controller I really enjoyed this activity because it alowed me to gain knowledge about Magaret Thatcher.
