A diamante poem uses interesting nouns, adjectives and verbs to describe the topic.

Literacy Reflections week 9 term 1

Here is my writing for this week. It is my camp reflection from camp where we had to do use 5 Ws.

Camp Reflection    W.A.L.T: To use Paragraphs and to use 5 Ws.

Intro - 2 weeks ago we went Mamaku 1 camp to Westport. Our first stop was Charleston gold mining company where there was a tour guide (Dean) who took us through a tour of the gold mining tunnels. Our next stop was Nile river, it was freezing we had to wear swimming caps so the parents could know where you were.

• WHAT-  After we had done our stops, we went to the maxwell gage centre and sorted out our bunk rooms. My bunk room buddies were Jazmine, Katelynn, Kyra, Hannah and Ruby.

START HERE! :  After we had sorted out the rooms we played games outside like crazy tag. Then we had dinner. And after that we had desert.

Meaning: A person that is to sick and unwell to look after his or her own self.

Meaning: sudden or unexpected.

Meaning: A failure to understand correctly.

The newspaper man had a misunderstanding he got the name wrong in the newspaper.

Miserable

Meaning: poor and needy.

I am a miserable man.

Energy

Meaning: A feeling or tension in our body that feels uplifting.

I had lots of energy after that chocolate.

Enterprize

Meaning: A plan for such a project.

This week for literacy we had too write 5 W's (what when where who why) about shantytown. I did this activity with my buddy Katelynn. I enjoyed this activity.

This week we have been working on a piece of writing that we had to plan for. This is my planning. I am going to write about crocodiles becuase they are my favourite reptile.

This week me and my buddy Arli have been working on a tally of Mamaku's favourite sports. After we had finished we did a graph on how many people voted on which sport. We found out that Rugby had the most tally marks. We also wrote some lists about different stuff. I wrote mine on things I would like to do do before I die.

For the past 2 weeks we have been working on work on writing tasks this task was called if i could be a mythical creature I relly enjoyed tbis activity because I would really like to be a dragon. 

This is a chacacter study on greek myths and legends I really enjoed this activity but next time I think I could try put a bit more information into it.

For chapter chat this week we had to we had to create 5 facts about Magaret Thatcher and draw the family cat (Magaret Scratcher) from the person controller I really enjoyed this activity because it alowed me to gain knowledge about Magaret Thatcher. 

Reflections week 1 Term 4

For one of our literacy rotations this week we had to create a mythical and describe what the parts were for I really enjoyed this activity because we got to make a a nonexisiting animal I did this activity on a google drawing I thougt it was pretty easy.

This term our teacher joined us up to Chapter Chat 5. Chapter Chat is a thing where lot's of classes get together on a Friday and answer questions this is called tweeting. We are reading a book called Person Controller I am really enjoying this book. One of the activities was to draw fred and ellie playing video games here is mine.

For maths this week we have been working on position and orientation I really enjoyed this activity but maybe next time I could try to give a bit more information on how I did it.

For the last 3 weeks we have been working on explorer things. This week we have been working on making a presentation on a explorer I did mine on a google doc and then screen castifyed it I really enjoyed this activity.

THE BIG DAY OUT!!!!

Last week we went on a the big day but I really enjoyed it we went to the movies then the new recreation to do some sports centre and the swimming pool. My favourite was the movie but I really enjoyed doing playing badminton here is a video of me at the big day out.

I really enjoyed doing this activity because I got to say what I liked about this book and what needed to improve I did this activity on a google drawing I think maybe next time I could try put a bit more imformation that people will not know about

For the last 2 weeks we have been brain storming on why we think explorers explore this is the age of exploration. for this activity I did it on a google doc. The highlited blue is for the time between things. The yellow is for why explorers explore. The green is for the positive things and the red is for the negitive. I really enjoyed this activity but maybe next time I could try put a bit more time in it.

This is my literacy for this week the purpose of this activity was to show your ideas about why do you think an explorer explores. I did it with Stanley and Rhys I was proud of my idea but I think I could ad abit more information because it is a bit short.

Literacy Reflection Term 3 Week 5

This week for literacy I have made a DLO of my Olympic activity.
This activity is focusing on researching Brazil and finding fun facts about it.This activity was Knowledge No.2. I used google slides to make my presentation. I am proud of my work because I used  catchy slides  and I had to research lots of information about Brazil. Next time I think I could work on finding more information about the country I really enjoyed doing this activity.

Term 3 Week 4 Reflections

This is my Olympic activity for this week it involved researching about Japan and their
medals, flag  and the population of Japan I found this activity very interesting but next
 time I think that I could try research some more facts about Japan.
Book week



This week was a special week because it was book week for our school on Friday we all have to dress up as a book character I chose to be a girl called Friday barns the author of the book was R.A Spratt she is a girl detective.
I really enjoy book week and especially book character day it is my favorite week of the week.
