Sake eel suprise catch for family!

A 26 year old man and his family were out on a fishing trip trying to catch a few snapper and some Kawhi when they reeled in a 2.2m fish. He took his son and his 48 year old cousin on the fishing trip. The man said that the fish looked like an eel. When he, his cousin and his son came back from the trip they googled the strange fish. They found out it was a snake eel, they also discovered that the fish lives in a hole. The snake eel protects it's hole until night when it goes to seek out it's prey.

term 2 week 7 reflections

This is my writing follow up for this week I really enjoyed it because I got to be as creative as I wanted. We had a story starter and then we had to write our own story, mine is about a monster.

Dictionary meanings for my words this week

Touched If someone or something puts a part of someone or somethings body on something it means they touched them
Unsearchable to not be able to find someone or something
Peaches a stone fruit that is squishy and round
Untouched that someone or something is not able to touch someone or something
Beaches a place that has millions of small grains orange ish crushed rock
Teaches someone or something that shows someone or something, something new
Teachers more than one someone or something that teaches something new
Searched someone or something looks for another someone or something
Searches someone or something sends out more than one someone or something to find the thing

Word work for this week it was pretty easy. I had to find the meaning. Next time I think I could do a bit more writing this was only 1 of our activites..
This is some of my maths I did not quite finish my maths that's why I think I should try finish it but I thought  it was quite hard.

missing girl

Missing girl

A 2-year old girl is missing after flooding hit Harihari on the West Coast. Her name is Emily.
The incident happened on Thursday when Emily and her family were going to pick up a possum trapper and another girl. On the way back the ute got stuck in a swelling Poerua river on a farm near Harihari.  The possum trapper grabbed the girl then lost her in waist deep water.   A 66 year old man has also died after being caught in the river. They found his body further down the river.
Emily's mum made a statement for her she said, Emily was a happy cheeky girl who loved the outdoors.
I think that it is very sad and that the parents must be so sad!

Newspaper Article: Abandon boy found

In Japan a boy (Yamato Tanooka) was disciplined by his parents for throwing rocks. His parents left him in the forest for a few minutes and when they came back he had vanished.
The boy was left found for several weeks befor found in a old tramping hut found by a military soldier. Yamoto was only seven for he was found the parents sent out a search party containing 180 people and search dogs the military soldier was not part of the search party and did not recognise the boy but soon the boy identified himself then the soldier  gave Yamoto two rice balls when he came  the mountain was ridden with bears. When the boy travelled safely home the Dad said that he was sorry.

I think the parents should treat the boy a bit better and they should look after the boy a bit better.
