Financial Literacy

This week we have done a new thing called financial literacy. It is where we pretend to have an income and tax. We also pretend to have a grocery bill and a fortune. We all start off with a card that tells us our income and our tax and mortgage. We then insert it into the table and then take away the tax and the mortgage. Once we've done that, we then get give a fortune card. The Fortune card willeither make you pay or let you recieve. My first fortune card made me pay $750 dollars on a root canal. Now im in debt by a LOT! You continue on doing this for the next 4 days and then stop. You then add all your other bills to the lot and then you have your overal balance.

That is really bad luck about the root canal! How did you decide how much income you had? I'm not sure if you can get insurance for big dental bills like that. If I was adding a fortune card for you, I would suggest that if you set up as a busker with your beautiful music skills, or organised a concert in a hall, you could earn enough money to pay for some of that yucky dental work.
